تاریخ کا پس منظر

مری پاکستان کے صوبہ پنجاب کے شمالی حصے میں واقع پہاڑی قصبہ ہے، یہ پِر پنجل رینج کے نیچے، تقریباً ۲,۲۹۱ میٹر (۷,۵۱۷ فٹ) کی بلندی پر بسا ہے۔
اس مقام کو سب سے پہلے برطانوی فوجی افسروں نے ۱۸۴۷ء میں بطور ہِل سٹیشن ممکنہ جگہ کے طور پر شناخت کیا تھا، خاص طور پر میجر جیمز ایبٹ نے۔
۱۸۵۱ء میں اس علاقے کی ابتدائی ترقی شروع ہوئی، اور مستقل قصبہ ۱۸۵۳ء میں قائم ہوا۔
برطانوی دور میں مری کو پنجاب حکومت کا گرمیوں کا دارالحکومت مقرر کیا گیا تھا (تقریباً ۱۸۷۳ء تا ۱۸۷۵ء)۔
اس دوران مری میں “Mall Road” (جناح روڈ) کی تعمیر ہوئی، چرچ، سرکاری دفاتر اور رہائشی گھروں کا قیام ہوا — اس علاقے میں یورپی طرزِ تعمیر نمایاں رہی۔

یہ ہوٹل پاکستان کی دارالحکومت اسلام آباد میں واقع ہے، اور اس کا حصہ ہے ‎The Centaurus نامی بڑے ملٹی یوز کمپلیکس کا، جو “شاپنگ مال + رہائش + ہوٹل” کو ملا کر بنایا گیا تھا۔
۲۰۱۵ میں یہ اعلان ہوا کہ Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts ایک معاہدے کے تحت اس پروجیکٹ کو چلاسکتا ہے۔
اس ہوٹل کو “اسلام آباد کا پہلا پریمیم ہائی-رائز ہوٹل” قرار دیا گیا ہے، یعنی اپنی قسم کا منفرد اقدام۔

تعمیر و افتتاح
پیمانہ: تقریباً ۳۸۰ کمروں پر مشتمل ہوٹل کی تعمیر ہوئی۔

آغاز (The Beginning)

بیسٹ ویسٹرن ہوٹلز (Best Western Hotels) کی بنیاد 1946ء میں میرلینڈ (Maryland)، امریکہ میں رکھی گئی۔
اس کے بانی کا نام ایم. کے. گیسٹ (M.K. Guertin) تھا، جو ایک ہوٹل کنسلٹنٹ اور انڈسٹری ماہر تھے۔
ان کا مقصد ایک ایسا ہوٹل نیٹ ورک بنانا تھا جو پورے امریکہ میں سفر کرنے والوں کو معیاری، صاف، اور قابلِ اعتماد رہائش فراہم کرے۔
شروع میں، Best Western کوئی براہِ راست ہوٹل مالک نہیں تھا، بلکہ یہ ایک “ہوٹل ایسوسی ایشن” تھی — جس میں مختلف آزاد ہوٹل مالکان شامل ہوتے تھے۔
ان ہوٹلوں نے ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ تعاون کا معاہدہ کیا کہ وہ اپنے گاہکوں کو دوسرے ممبر ہوٹلوں کی سفارش کریں گے۔
یہی ماڈل بعد میں Best Western کے عالمی نیٹ ورک کی بنیاد بنا۔

پاکستان میں Best Western کی آمد (Best Western in Pakistan)

Best Western نے پاکستان میں داخلہ 2014ء کے بعد حاصل کیا، جب لاہور اور اسلام آباد میں اس کی ابتدائی شاخوں کی بنیاد رکھی گئی۔
پہلی شاخ Best Western Premier Hotel Islamabad کے نام سے متعارف ہوئی، جو دارالحکومت کے اعلیٰ کاروباری زون میں واقع ہے۔
بعد ازاں Best Western Premier Lahore اور دیگر ہوٹل منصوبے بھی سامنے آئے۔
